Shilpa Shetty in "The Desire"

The Desire is an upcoming India-China joint film venture that has created a lot of publicity for famed Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
First, everyone freaked out when it was rumored Shilpa was going to shave her head bald for the role.
A major cosmetic company heard about it and "compelled" her not to do it.
So the bald look was achieved through make up.
Reports say she was all ready to shave off her hair for the role.

Then Shilpa and co star Jaya Prada took lessons in the classical Indian dance form of Odissi. Odissi is one of the eight Indian classical dance forms.

The Desire will star Shilpa, Jaya Prada, Chinese superstar Xia Yu, Anupam Kher, Sachin Khedekar, Sheetal Menon and Nakul Vaid.
