Vidya Balan Awarded The Padma Shri

Beautiful Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was just awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India.
Vidya was born in Poothamkurussy, Puthur, Palakkad, Kerala, India on January 1st, 1978.
She nade her acting debut in the Bengali film, "Bhalo Theko" in 2003.
Since then Vidya has gone on to appear in also thirty films.

She has been nominated for 78 awards and won 53 including an Anandalok Award, an Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Award, several Filmfare Awards and several Stardust Awards.
To say her career is going well would be an understatement.

  1. Vidya's bold performance in the "Dirty Picture' released in 2011. The biographical drama film inspired by the life of Silk Smitha, a South Indian actress noted for her erotic roles. Vidya's curvaceous and voluptuous figure was a plus in the producers casting decision.
