This is beautiful Nepali-Indian actress, United Nations Population Fund Goodwill Ambassador and social activist Manisha Koirala.
Manisha was born on August 16, 1970 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
She made her acting debut in the 1989 Nepali movie Pheri Bhetaula and she made her Bollywood debut in the 1991 film Saudagar.
Manisha has gone on to appear in almost seventy Nepali, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Bollywood films.
She is involved in social work, and has fought hard against violence against women and human trafficking, and also worked for women's rights.
Even with her activism, she has had some controversy.
There was the situation where Manisha alledged that Shashilal K. Nair used a body double to film some racy scenes in the film Ek Chotisi Love Story.
She took Nair to court, and succeeded in getting the film's release held.
And then there was the Pet situation in which a media report claimed Manisha had named her pet dog after a revered Muslim figure.
The problem was, a police investigation showed that Manisha didn't even own a pet.
Now Manisha has gotten married and she says that her career will be taking a back seat to her marriage.
But she will still be involved in cinema.
