Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is all over the news these days.

First, she seems to be starting a trend by not wearing make up.
Actually Ameesha Patel started it first, but you know, I wonder how many Hollywood actresses could pull off the no make up look?

And Bipasha is playing Diva again.
At Thursday night's launch of Shiamak Davar's sports wear collection, she was a no show.
Even though Bipasha is the company's brand ambassador and she was in Mumbai.
Rumor has it that she didnt attend because Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were also invited to the event, so she was afraid she wouldn't get solo media coverage there.
Of course Bipasha's spokesperson denied this.

Bipasha has several movies coming out this year including Aa Dekhen Zara (a romantic sci-fi action thriller movie), Pankh, Lamhaa, Sob Choritro Kalponik and Chaimera.

Bipasha Basu at the 15th Nokia Star Screen Awards

Bipasha Basu was at the 15th Nokia Star Screen Awards.
But she didn't seem to have a very good time.
She was supposed to do her Lucky Boy act from Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Bipasha was all geared up and ready to go until the Sajid Khan-Ashutosh Gowariker incident delayed the awards ceremony by 20 to 25 minutes.
That threw the whole production behind over an hour, and she was in no mood to go on with the act, so she changed her attire and removed her make up.
The organizers finally got their act together and got Bipasha to agree to take another shot at it.
By then though she was pretty much fed up with everything, but she did get made up again and went on with the show.
By all accounts though it was a less than stellar performance.
But can you really blame her?

Priyanka Chopra got the thumbs up for 'Hottest swimwear of the year' from buzz18.com for the gold swimsuit she wore in the movie "Dostana".

And it doesn't stop there.
Priyanka also won the Best Actress Award for ‘Fashion’ at the Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards.

And evidently Priyanka and Katrina Kaif had a few words about who was going to perform the grand finale of Star Screen Awards.
Priyanka wanted to go last, but so did Katrina.
The closing number was called ‘Five Divas’, and had Bipasha Basu , Deepika Padukone , Anushka Sharma , Katrina Kaif and Priyanka all performing.
Katrina won the arguement and got to perform last.
Well what do you expect?
Look up Diva, "a star who is a "diva" is arrogant, difficult to work with, high-maintenance, manipulative, fussy, highly strung, privileged and demanding".
Okay it also means the feminine of the Latin word divus, "god" so "goddess" would work too.
But get five Divas together and what do you think would happen?

While her new found friendship with one time foe Kareena Kapoor remains a mystery for many, actress Bipasha Basu admits that she never got a chance to understand Kareena.
"I never had a chance to understand her but now the awkwardness is gone," the dusky actress said on the sidelines of an event.
Both the actresses were said to have a good time at a recent party organised by Kareena for beau Saif Ali Khan. It is said that both could not see eye to eye during the shooting of Ajnabee, Bipasha's first Bollywood picture.

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend and Gili offers a wide range of diamonds to choose from. I hope this association is amiable and mutually profitable," Bipasha said in a press statement.
The actress has proved her mettle in films like "Corporate" and "Omkara" and will be seen romancing Bollywood's new entrant Ranbir Kapoor in "Bachna Ae Haseeno".

Bipasha Basu to feature in mobile games

MUMBAI: Mobile gamers and fans of Bipasha Basu have a lot to look forward to. Games publishing company Jump Games on Tuesday announced its two-year, worldwide contract with her to create and distribute a serial of mobile games featuring the glamorous Bollywood actor.

The first game of the series will be titled "Bipasha Basu Jet Ski Champ". In the game Bipasha will be seen as a master Jet Ski rider challenging the world's best to an adrenalin-pumping jet-ski ride across exotic circuits.

Bipasha's fans will be able to play as a character in Jump Games' latest speed fest.

"This is something novel for me and I am looking forward to a fruitful gamming association with Jump Games," said the actor.

"Through these games my fans will get to see the athletic, adventurous and skillful side of me," said Bipasha, who is an avid sports fan.

"It's (the game) a conscious effort to choose my films and related work to bring out my sporty, exploratory persona. Lets hope my fan like it.

"Bipasha is one of the most successful celebrity brands around today and her personality lends wonderfully to games. We are hopeful that the titles created for her will do well," Jump Games CEO Salil Bhargava said.

"Apart from this game, there are two other titles in the pipeline, which will feature Bipasha in completely different avatars. One will be a casual title based on the popular urban sport of bowling. The second title will have Bipasha playing a sci-fi princess all set to save the planet from galactic enemies," Bhargava added.

In India, Jump's games can be accessed and played on networks like Hutch, Idea, BSNL and Reliance World.

Sienna is a beauty with brains and with a cause! She recently attended a dinner party hosted by the British Deputy High Commissioner Vicki Treadell at the latter’s residence. Here, Sienna, who is representing IIFA and ‘Global Cool’, charmed the guests with her down-to-earth attitude.

She looked her stunning self in a striped floor-length knit gown. Her cutting edge style sense was obvious in the way she had accessorised her outfit. She wore a set of Amrapali earrings and a bracelet that was gifted to her by Bipasha Basu.

“She also gave me a lovely necklace with all the Goddesses in it. I couldn’t wear it all together, else I’ll look like a Christmas tree,” she quipped.

“I will wear that tomorrow though,” added Sienna who couldn’t stop praising Bipasha. “She is an awesome woman. I have never met anyone who is so beautiful, strong-willed, intelligent and well-spoken,” said Sienna. Bipasha got a Cartier ‘love’ bracelet from Sienna in return for her gesture, “I am in love with Bipasha,” laughed Sienna.

The dinner was also attended by Mehr Jessia and her husband Arjun Rampal and Sienna obliged the shutterbugs present by posing for a photo op with the star couple. Sienna was wearing flat sandals she had earlier bought from Linking Road and joked, “I feel so short in front of you two,” and stood on tip-toe to pose for the pictures with a smirk on her face.

A source revealed that unlike earlier reports Sienna had a great time at Salman’s party and was now looking forward to her trip to Café Leopold’s on Saturday, which she has heard a lot about.

Bipasha Basu is sad because she could not meet her Hollywood heartthrob Jude Law even though he was around at Cannes. Making matters worse John Abraham got to meet the star!

Basu was at Cannes Film Festival not even for a full day.This was her first trip to Cannes. She reached their with John in the morning and was out by late afternoon as she had to be back in Mumbai. All she had time for were the press events for our film.

The worst blow was when she missed meeting Jude Law. John met him at a party hosted by a sportswear company for another football film at the festival.

Bipasha's brief sojourn in Cannes

Bipasha Basu rues the fact that she couldn’t savor the spirit of Cannes Film Festival because of her very short trip there.

Bipasha was at Cannes along with boyfriend John Abraham for the UTV press conference and luncheon held on May 18 to promote their movie Goal .

Bips arrived at Cannes in the morning, attended the press meet, gave a few brief interviews and flew back to Mumbai in the evening to begin shooting for a movie the next morning.

In such a short and hectic trip Bipasha wasn’t able to see Cannes, nor catch any movie, nor go for shopping or swimming.
