It looks like it's turning into a numbers game for Priyanka Chopra movies.
Recently she released "What's Your Raashee?" in which she played twelve different characters, and now she is slated to star in the upcoming Bollywood movie "Seven" as a character that has seven husbands.
Rumor has it that Indian film actor and producer Mohanlal will play one of her husbands, and that Indian actor Hrithik Roshan may play another.
Filming is schedualed to begin in 2010.

And while "Seven" may start filming in 2010, on Februrary 12th, a movie will come out that is generating a lot of buzz already.
"My Name is Khan" stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
Expect this Bollywood film to go big, as it is being distributed by Fox Star Studios India in India, Fox Searchlight in the U.S. and 20th Century Fox worldwide.
And to boost it even further, the first promo for "My Name is Khan" will be released with James Cameron's much anticipated Avatar, which opens globally on December 18.

Madhuri Dixit is in negotiations to play her her idol former prime minister Indira Gandhi in Krishna Shah's biopic.
But don't expect this film to have an easy path.
Biopics on Indira Gandhi by Jagmohan Mundhra and N. Chandra have been tried and shot down already.
Madhuri is a legend in Hindi cinema so don't expect her to commit until things are a bit more finalized with the film.

Karan Johar's new Bollywood film "Kurbaan" has not made a killing at the box office and been getting mixed reviews, but everyone seems to think that Kareena Kapoor (as Avantika Ahuja) has turned in a great performance.
The film that had location shoots in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, ran into a bit of trouble before release when a petition was filed in the Bombay High Court to stay the release of movie.
After responses from Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the court declined to stay the release of the film.
But back to Kareena....

Of course Ben Kingsley is well known for his Oscar winning performance playing Gandhi, but now he wil bring another figure in Indian history to life, Shah Jahan, the man who built the Taj Mahal.
And starring as Mumtaz Mahal, (Jahan's favored wife and the woman whose death inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal) will be the lovely Aishwarya Rai.
The upcoming film "Taj" will have a budget over $30 million dollars and Kingsley will not only star in the movie, but produce it as well.

Bollywood actress Rimi Sen recently debuted as a fashion model at the Kolkata Fashion Week-II.
According to all accounts, Rimi was a big hit.
Also on hand there were Bollywood stars Sameera Reddy, Amrita Rao, Riya Sen and Minisha Lamba.

Rimi has several movies coming out this year.
Sankat City has already been released to a generally good reception, Horn Ok Pleasss (with Nana Patekar, Muzammil Ibrahim and Rakhi Sawant), Airport and Yahan Ke Hum Sikander.

Amisha Patel Updates

I just realized I havent written a thing about the beautiful Bollywodd actress Amisha Patel in quite awhile.
So here we go.....

A common theme we seem to see alot with Bollywood beauties is that they tend to follow the Hollywood motto of "The Show Must Go on".....

Amisha Patel has been attending grueling rehearsals for the last few days leading up to the Stardust Awards but few people including her choreographer Rajiv Surti know about it. The actress recalls, "I pulled a muscle in my left leg yesterday morning and have been surviving on painkillers since. It was my first day of the rehearsals and I wanted to go all out for it.

And on the magazine racks, photos of Amisha Patel seem to be everywhere. She's recently appeared on the covers of Verve, OK!, Man’s World and Kohl.

As a matter of fact, the cover shot on the OK! magazine came from Dabboo Ratnani's calendar (several top Bollywood actresses posed for the calendar) and Amisha's boyfriend, Kanav Puri, liked the picture so much, he had a copy framed and hung on the wall of his bedroom.
What a guy!

And this year will see Run Bhola Run (with Govinda and Amisha Patel) and Chatur Singh Two Star (with Sanjay Dutt and Amisha Patel) coming out this year.

Rani Mukherjee and Her Personal Trainer

The actresses in Bollywood run into the same problems that the actresses in Hollywood run into.
Rani Mukherjee was feeling bad about herself and her appearance.
So what did she do?
She hired Aamir Khan's personal fitness trainer, Satyajit Chaurasia to help her get into shape.
And it seems to have worked.
Rani has two movies coming out in 2009, Anurag Singh's next movie (no title yet) and Koochie Koochie Hota Hain, so everyone will get to see the results of Satyajit's training regime.
Well not so much with Koochie Koochie Hota Hain because it's animated. But I'm sure she'll hit the PR circuit.

Before moving onto the subject of Bollywood actresses, I wish to give my sympathy to all those in Mumbai in light of the tragedy there.

Tabu: Emerging from her self-imposed shell
After Chini kom now talented Tabu signed on for the role of Emperor Ashoka's wife in Dr Chandraprakash Diwedi's The Legend Of Kunal, we also heard that she again working with Mr. Bachchan sequal of the film Chini Kom. Tabu has given the nod to Balki's plan to make a sequel to Cheeni Kum.

And to further reinforce this, Tabu will be starring in Ravi Chopra's upcoming movie, “Pappu Paas Ho Gaya”.
"Pappu Paas Ho Gaya" is a remake of the US movie, “My Cousin Vinny”.
She plays a public prosecutor in the film.
