Bollywood Actress Raveena Tandon News

34 year old Raveena Tandon is looking as good as ever, and starting to show up more too.

The Bollywood actress, producer, and former model showed up recently at a Sunday afternoon Tinker Bell book reading for children at Crossword, Juhu, Mumbai on May 17.
By all accounts the beautiful actress had a great time and so did the kids.
Raveena made sure to pay attention to the kids, sitting and talking to them after she finished the reading.

Also, along with Jaya Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Ayesha Takia and Urvashi Sharma, Raveena is set to star in the new Bollywood movie by Revathy Varma called Chassni.
Chassni is a remake of the Tamil film June R.

At Karan Johar's 37th birthday party, Raveena showed up with just about every other actor and actress in Bollywood including Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Karisma and Shah Rukh Khan among the over 100 guests.

Raveena Tandon Thadani has given birth to her second child - it is a son.
Happy Raveena shares from hospital bed, "We thought it would be a girl and had selected the name Ananya. So the baby boy was a pleasant surprise. We're very happy. I think he looks like me and my father."
After first daughter Raasha she had conceived again, but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. Raasha has been telling everyone that she has a little playmate.

Raveena Tandon (born October 26, 1970 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is a National Film Award winner, Indian Bollywood actress and former model, who was a popular star in the 90's.

Raveena Tandon is the only actress in Bollywood to have her film songs played back to back on music channels.

King Khan SRK has complimented Raveena Tanon on her dance numbers and songs..

She has also advertised Lux shampoo and soap and also Hair oil..

Raveena is the only actress to have hit films with Govinda the king of comedy (Anari No 1, BMCM, Dulha Raja, Waah tere kiya khenna, Pardesi Babu etc)

She had won numerous awards and also won a best actress award (the Indian version of Oscars) for her role in the film Daman.

Raveena was offered the role of Rani Mukherjee in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai adn the Krismas role in Dil To Pagal hai. She turned both down because she didn't want to be repetitive.

She has had a lot of films which the critics have been praising films such as Shool, Satta, Daman, Aks, Jagoo and Ziddi.

Raveena started the trend of muscular dances with her superbly muscled body and great dancing skills.

She was also offered the part in Yeh ha jalwa but turned it down because of filming clashes. The role later went to Amisha Patel.

Raveena is good friends with Rani Mukherjee, Tabu, Minsha Korola, Farah khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, SRK, Amitha Bachan and Govinda.

Raveena Tandon (born October 26, 1970 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian actress and former model. She is the daughter of director Ravi Tandon.

Raveena got her name from a combination of her father's name Ravi and mother's name Veena.

Her first film Patthar Ke Phool (1991) was a hit and she received the Filmfare Lux New Face Award for her debut performance. She then made headlines with her fight with Karisma Kapoor, the other leading lady in the film Andaz Apna Apna (1994).

Her next film Mohra (1994) made her a superstar overnight. However the following films flopped at the box office, but her career was back on track with her hit film Ziddi (1997).

She then began to do films which ganered critical acclaim rather than box office success. Films like Shool (1999), Bulandi (2000) and Aks (2001) won her huge acclaim. She won the Filmfare Special Performance Award for Aks. Her years in the industry paid off when she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence (2001), where she played a wife of an abusive husband.

Her last release was Ek Se Badhkar Ek, she has not acted in films since then.

She adopted two children Pooja And Chhaya as a single mother in the 1990s. Subsequently, she married Anil Thadani and gave birth to a baby girl called Rasha on March 16, 2005. She is expecting her second child in July .
