Actress Koena Mitra endorses 'Brand Jharkhand'

New Delhi, Jan 11:
Jharkhand has become the first state in the country to have a Bollywood actress as brand ambassador. And it is not local star Tanushree Dutta or iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but Koena Mitra. The Kolkata actress will be promoting the tribal state as a preferred investment destination for non-resident Indians (NRIs).

The film stars are known to endorse products and companies, but Koena is the first to endorse a state for promotions.

Koena has been commissioned to endorse the state by the diaspora publication "Pravasi Today", which acts as a bridge between non-resident Indians and the country.

The actress, christened the "Daughter of the East", to endorse "Brand Jharkhand", however, didn't forget to remind state representatives of Tanushree Dutta.

Bengali actress Koena Mitra, who shot to fame with the song Khullam Khulla in the film Road, is now busy with her forthcoming film Apna Sapna Money Money produced by Subhash Ghai.

The film has an ensemble star cast in which every character has a different story that lures him to acquire money by various means, reports Bollywood Trade.

"Apna Sapna Money Money is a multi-starrer comedy film where everyone has a story of their own. Everybody is running after money for different reasons - good and bad - ranging from poverty to other personal needs. It's no family drama and the climax is basically about how these money-driven characters meet each other," says Koena.
