Bollywood Actress Sonam Kapoor

As far as I can tell, Sonam Kapoor isn't related to Kareena Kapoor.
I could be wrong though.
She was born on June 9th,1985 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
(Just how many Bollywood actresses were born in Mumbai anyway?)
Sonam's film debut was in the 2007 film Saawariya with Rani Mukerji.
Not only was Saawariya the first Bollywood movie to receive a North American release by a Hollywood studio, it was also one of the first Bollywood films to be released on Blu Ray.
Sonam is five foot ten and weighs 126 pounds.
Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor is a film producer.

Sonam Kapoor (I know....ANOTHER Kapoor?) may be beautiful, but boy does this lady know how to stir things up!
She flipped the press the "Bird", said that Aishwarya Rai was an "Aunty", had a three way verbal battle with her father Anil Kapoor and Abhay Deol, got into it with Indian columnist and novelist Shobhaa De, then went after Katrina Kaif for being "shameless."
She's a busy young lady!

Don't give her too hard of a time though.
Aside from all that media fighting, she still has time to do charity fashion shows and do work for the Ogaan Cancer Foundation.
Maybe she's just "spirited".

Considered by many to be a talented and upcoming actress, Sonam may have been in the right place at the right time.
She appeared with Abhishek Bachchan in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi-6.
The movie was released on February 20, 2009 and did well at the box office, but the film got generally mixed reception from the Indian critics.
However, after the Oscar performance of the Mumbai-set "Slumdog Millionaire" world critics have gotten behind the movie.

Of course it hasn't hurt that the movies music was composed by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman.
And even better is the fact that Sonam's father Anil Kapoor was also in Slumdog Millionaire.
