Mugdha Godse was born on July 26th, 1981 in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
She is an actress, model and she was a 2004 Femina Miss India Semi-Finalist.
Mugdha started out in modeling, then moved into music videos and commercials, then into film where she made her debut in the 2008 Bollywood film Fashion.
The film also starred two more Bollywood beauties, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut.
Mugdha has appeared in fourteen films, the last one being Ishq Ne Krazy Kiya Re (2015).

Payal Rohatgi - Bollywood Actress

This is beautiful Indian actress and model Payal Rohatgi.
She was born in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana, India on November 9th, 1984.
Payal made her acting debut in 2002 in the in the Bollywood comedy Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?
Since then she has gone on to appear in 20 films.
Payal is five foot six and weighs 125 pounds.

Neha Dhupia - Bollywood Actress

Neha Dhupia was born on August 27th, 1980 in Kochi, Kerala, India.
She is not only an actress and model, but she is also a former Femina Miss India winner, having won in 2002.
Neha made her Bollywood debut in 2003 in the film, "Qayamat: City Under Threat"

Deepika Padukone - Bollywood Actresses

You know until I had a poll on one of my Hubs at HubPages, I never realized just how popular Deepika Padukone was.
When they found out there was a poll, her fans flocked to her defense easing her up over Katrina Kaif.
But not by a whole lot....evidently Kat has a lot of fans too.

Deepika was actually not born in India but in Copenhagen, Denmark...but her family moved to India when she was a year old.
So she might as well been born in India.

She made her big screen debut in the 2006 Kannada film, "Aishwarya" and has gone on to appear in close to thirty films.

Bollywood Actress Sonakshi Sinha Gets The Golden Kela Award....Again

Last night I wrote about Bollywood actress Vidya Balan being awarded the Padma Shri.
Well tonight is another lovely Bollywood actress that didn't get such a great award.
Sonakshi Sinha recently got the “worst” actor Golden Kela award for her role in "R…Rajkumar".
The Golden Kela award celebrates the worst in Hindi Cinema.
And this isn't Sonakshi's first Golden Kela.
Last year she won the same award for "Son of Sardaar".

Now don't think that Sonakshi is a bad actress.
She has appeared in many major films like Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore, and Dabangg 2, and Lootera.
Heck, Son of Sardaar made over $24 million worldwide which is not bad at all.
And she has won a TON of "good" awards as well.

Vidya Balan Awarded The Padma Shri

Beautiful Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was just awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India.
Vidya was born in Poothamkurussy, Puthur, Palakkad, Kerala, India on January 1st, 1978.
She nade her acting debut in the Bengali film, "Bhalo Theko" in 2003.
Since then Vidya has gone on to appear in also thirty films.

She has been nominated for 78 awards and won 53 including an Anandalok Award, an Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Award, several Filmfare Awards and several Stardust Awards.
To say her career is going well would be an understatement.

Bollywood Actress - Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor (I know....ANOTHER Kapoor?) may be beautiful, but boy does this lady know how to stir things up!
She flipped the press the "Bird", said that Aishwarya Rai was an "Aunty", had a three way verbal battle with her father Anil Kapoor and Abhay Deol, got into it with Indian columnist and novelist Shobhaa De, then went after Katrina Kaif for being "shameless."
She's a busy young lady!

Don't give her too hard of a time though.
Aside from all that media fighting, she still has time to do charity fashion shows and do work for the Ogaan Cancer Foundation.
Maybe she's just "spirited".

Richa Chadda - Bollywood Actresses

Beautiful Richa Chadda was born on December 28th, 1986 in Amritsar, Punjab, India.
She made her acting debut in the 2008 film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! along with Abhay Deol, Paresh Rawal, Neetu Chandra and Manu Rishi.
But it was in 2012 that she got her big break in the Gangs of Wasseypur.
For her role as Nagma Khatoon, she was nominated for a Filmfare Award, a Screen Award, a Stardust Award, a Zee Cine Award and won the Filmfare Awards for Best Actress (Critics).
Not one to rest on her laurels, she has four films coming out in 2014.

Vaani Kapoor - Bollywood Actresses

Tonight we have another Kapoor, this time, Vaani Kapoor.
Vaani was born on August 23rd, 1988 in Delhi, India.
She has only appeared in two films so far.
The 2013 Hindi film, "Shuddh Desi Romance" and the 2014 Telugu film, "Aaha Kalyanam".

Her role as Tara in "Shuddh Desi Romance" got her a Star Guild Award for Most Promising Debut (Female), a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut (2014), a Zee Cine Award For Best Female Debut (2014) and the Bollywood Hungama Surfers' Choice Awards - Best Debutant (Female) 2013.
Not too bad at all.

Zarine Khan - Women of Bollywood

Zarine Khan was born on May 25th, 1984, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
In some shots, this Indian actress and model looks so much like Katrina Kaif, you'd think they were separated at birth.
(Although now Zarine seems to have added a few pounds which makes it easy to tell them apart)

Oddly enough, the man that discovered her, Salman Khan, is Katrina's boyfriend.
This of course stirred up a LOT of Bollywood gossip.
Her debut film was Veer in 2010, a film that unfortunately didn’t do very well, even though she did get nominated for the Zee Cine Awards. Best Female Debut.
She went on to appear in Ready (2011), Housefull 2 (2012) and in 2013 will be appearing in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Karikalan and Partner 2.

Vidya Balan - Bollywood Women

The beautiful Vidya Balan was born on Januaury 1st, 1978 in Palakkad, Kerala, India.
She did work in music videos, soap operas and commercials before making her big screen debut in the 2003 Bengali film, Bhalo Theko.
Vidya has appeared in over twenty films (with two more scheduled for 2013 release) and has won and been nominated for a ton of awards.
Among her wins are the 2006 Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for Parineeta, the 2006 Filmfare Face of the Year, also for Parineeta and the 2010 Filmfare Best Actress Award for the film Paa.

2012 was a VERY good year for Vidya as she won Best Actress at the National Film Awards, The Filmfare Awards, The Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards, The BIG Star Entertainment Awards, The FICCI Frames Excellence Honours, The Global Indian Film and Television Honours, The International Indian Film Academy Awards, The Screen Awards, The Stardust Awards, The Zee Cine Awards and People's Choice Awards India, all for her role as Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture.
And also on December 14th, she married film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Vaishali Desai - Women of Bollywood

Indian model and actress Vaishali Desai was born on December 18th, 1984.
She represented India at the Miss International 2005 beauty pageant, a pageant that was won by Precious Lara Quigaman.
Vaishali started out doing fashion modeling, and then moved onto commercial modeling before finally making her acting debut in the 2001 film American Desi as a Garba Dancer.

(Garba is a form of dance that originated in the Gujarat region.)
She got her big break in the 2009 film, Kal Kissne Dekha.
Unfortunately, the film did not do very well.
Vaishali followed that up with the 2012 comedyfilm, Tukkaa fitt which has been shelved for the moment.

Urvashi Sharma - Bollywood Women

Another Indian model turned Bollywood actress is the beautiful Urvashi Sharma.
Urvashi was born on October 13th, 1984 in Delhi, India.

This five foot eight beauty is of Punjabi and Caucasian ancestry.
She made her acting debut in the 2007 Bollywood film, Naqaab, with Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna.

Urmila Matondkar - Women of Bollywood

Urmila Matondkar was born on February 4th, 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
She made her acting debut at the age of seven in the 1981 film, Kalyug.
Urmila has gone on to appear in over sixty Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films.

She has also been nominated for, and won many Filmfare Awards, Star Screen Awards and Zee Cine Awards among others.
In 2012 she appeared in Hridaynath (in an Item number) and did a voice in the animated Hindi feature film Delhi Safari.

Bollywood Actress Udita Goswami

Bollywood actress Udita Goswami was born on September 2nd, 1984 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
This Indian actress started out in modeling, as many do, doing work for brands like Pepsi, Titan Watches and Nokia.

She made her acting debut in the 2003 Bollywood film Paap, with John Abraham, Gulshan Grover and Mohan Agashe.
Paap was based on the 1985 Hollywood film Witness, with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis.
She has since appeared in fifteen films, the latest being Diary of a Butterfly.

The Best Bollywood Item Numbers - Part 6 - Madhuri Dixit

Here is a woman that many Bollywood fans would consider to be a legend...Madhuri Dixit.
Madhuri is not only a legend, she is also a pioneer in the modern trend in Item Numbers.
Even though she doesn't have as many as you might think she would....

Here is Madhuri in the number that launched modern Item Numbers, Ek Do Teen from the film Tezaab.

Deepika Padukone and Bollywood Actresses on Twitter

CNN.com has an article up about the incredible rise of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
I didn't realize her path to stardom was so humble, but in reading this, I think in the future, the life of Deepika might actually make a good film itself.

"After deciding to become a model at the age of 16, she was picked out of a music video by acclaimed director Farah Khan and cast in her next film opposite Shahrukh Khan. "Om Shanti Om" went on to become not only a hit in India, but also gained wider acclaim among western audiences."

I mentioned awhile back about Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat using her Twitter account, but I really had no idea so many Bollywood beauties used Twitter.
Besides Mallika, Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit and Ayesha Takia all have Twitter accounts, among others.

Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Mallika Sherawat

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is featured on Maxim magazine on it's cover.
Kareena is getting a lot of press lately, including the fact that she was on Filmfare Magazine’s “most powerful women” list.
Kareena has also told the press that she's putting marriage on the back burner to pursue her career.


And Madhuri Dixit has sparked a controversy, but not intentionally.
There's a lake in Arunachal Pradesh called Tsho-nga Tser that the locals began to refer to as " Madhuri " after Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit shot Koyla there.
The locals seem to be more than a little upset that their lake is being renamed by outsiders.


And finally, Bollywood beauty Mallika Sherawat has signed to make a film called “Female Barack Obama”, which is based on San Francisco Attorney General Kamala Harris.
Mallika is in LA of the post production of her film "Hisss" and has been burning up Twitter while shes been there.
Mallika is one of the most followed Bollywood personalities on Twitter with over 6000 fans.
She's even set to make a side trip to Twitter HQ on July 14th.
